We made it! It’s the last Sunday of the year! Sometimes getting to the last of anything is sad or hard, but ironically there are times that it’s not bad.

I’m actually glad that it’s here, the last Sunday of this year. As for me, it feels good to know that it’s over.

Woke up to a lovely day. Just as I like them. It’s raining, the sky is gray but there’s still enough light to show it’s morning time. The rain is falling softly on the grass. It’s not pouring out there, it’s just raining ‘lovely-ly’. I can see little puddles start to form outside, and I can see each individual ring of every raindrop that falls.

The streets are silent, and it’s a soothing silence, not a scary one.

I’m only happy when it rains. But no, I’m not planning to pull of a singing in the rain moment. ”Baby it’s cold outside” (yes, I sang that). It’s delightfully cold. So, what I’m planning for this last Sunday of the year is to go grab a mug (the christmas one with the big santa on it), fill it with warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon, cut a slice of the cornbread we baked yesterday night and stay in bed reading a book, or two.

You might ask ‘why be lazy on this last day?’ Well, for starters I can’t remember the last day I stayed in bed to just be lazy. It was a hard busy year. And it’s not like I won’t be doing anything productive. I’ll be enjoying my re-discovered passion: reading.

There’s a spanish saying ”el hombre propone y Dios dispone” which means something like ”Man plans and God decides”. This is what I’m planning to do today. We’ll see how it goes. And you my lovely readers, watcha doin’?

p.s. Gone girl by Gillian Flynn and The Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling…that’s what I’ll be reading. 😉
